Artworks - Paul Treasure
Paul has worked as a professional artist for many years, undertaking commissions both in the UK and overseas.
Since the age of 7 Paul has spent many happy holidays in Kirkcudbright, south west Scotland. Paul believes that it is the quality of the light which lends itself to being a haven for artists. As well as using his time to paint and draw Paul likes to spend his time salmon fishing.
Having studied at Cheltenham Art College Paul moved to London where he established himself as a successful professional artist working closely with a number of top designers. Later he moved to Hampshire where, he still lives and works.
In 1993 Paul was hired as expedition artist for the first crossing of the Taklamakan Desert in North West China. The route the expedition party took was part of the original Silk Road dating back thousands of years. It was the first joint venture between Britain and China.
Paul used a camera and sketch book to record the vast expanses of the desert and the people they met on their journey
