Born in Stockholm, Sweden in 1982, Jens Klelund spent most of his youth in London. In 2001 he finished his studies in fine art at the Surrey Institute of Art and Design. During this period he produced a number of wood carvings and developed his natural talent for making sculpture. In 2003 he moved to Pietrasanta, Italy to work as an apprentice to master sculptor Emanuele de Reggi. He perfected his skills, working in close collaboration with de Reggi over the next four years. The experience proved invaluable and Jens began to realise his own works in marble and bronze.
Jens has exhibited widely including in the museum gardens of Villa di Murabito, Camaiore, Tuscany, 2007. He participated in the International Sculpture Symposium of Marina di Pietrasanta in 2009 and has received many commissions. His works can be found in private collections in London, Stockholm, Italy, Berlin and Dubai.
Jens continues to base his studio in Pietrasanta, working toward his first major exhibitions.
