GalleryOne selected for London Art Fair 201030th September 2009

GalleryOne, based in Grayshott, Surrey, have been selected to exhibit at the prestigious London Art Fair 2010. Known for their support of emerging contemporary artists and for their dynamic exhibitions featuring masters such as Picasso and Lucien Freud, GalleryOne will be taking this opportunity to showcase an impressive collection of paintings and sculpture. Established favourites of the likes of Jonathan Pocock, Tania Rutland and Paul Vanstone will be sure to turn some heads. Paul Vanstone’s impressive marble figures will bring their sense of timeless elegance to the exhibition. As a winner of the covetable Henry Moore Award and having worked for 5 years as assistant to Anish Kapoor, Vanstone’s superb technique and his focus on quality and finish will provide the ‘wow’ factor.

The London Art Fair at the Business Design Centre, Islington, will present artwork from one-hundred galleries that have been carefully selected to showcase up to date British and global modern- art. With painting as a main focus of the Fair, the Business Design Centre will also feature sculpture, photography, video, prints and installation art.
One to watch out for on the GalleryOne stand is a new face, artist Alex Rennie. Impressive atmospheric realism haunts his figurative paintings. There are obvious influences of Rembrandt and Caravaggio with subtle undertones seeping in from Lucien Freud and Peter Doig. At the fresh age of 32, this will be the first time Alex’s work has been shown at London Art Fair and his confidence and maturity is certain to be recognised. GalleryOne also embrace the more inclusive realm of photography, launching some key pieces by Peter Isherwood. An intelligent and hugely impressive technical talent, Peter’s images are grand but approachable, covetable and impossible to fault.
GalleryOne continues to exhibit a unique collection of contemporary art of the highest quality. Marian Orchard-Webb, owner of the gallery said “We are delighted to have been accepted at this prestigious event and look forward to the excitement of bringing many fabulous works of art, from the artist’s studio into people’s homes.”
